The standardization of equipment aims above all to harmonise the dimensions of products made by different manufacturers.
Certain large pumps are manufactured according to the standards EN 733, DIN 24255, which makes their maintenance and replacement that much easier.Standard norm pumps have a horizontal suction system and a vertical discharge system. The diameter of the suction element is greater than that of the discharge.
In-line
pumps are not norm pumps. They are pumps where the manufacturer has aligned
the suction and discharge elements.
- If the weight allows it, these pumps are connected directly to the pipes. Failing this they are fixed to a concrete block using a sheet metal base which can befixed directly to the wall.
- The suction and discharge elements have the same diameter.
